So this week the baby girl and I have been in the states, in California and its been great, but I miss NICARAGUA. I went surfing out here and its 95 degrees outside and about 55 degrees in the water, THAT IS NOT COOL!
Here is a picture of one of our guests shredding it at pipes, our local beach break, which gets HUGE! The days when the swell arrives the break can get double overhead and still have great form, but its steep as shit!!
Thats all for today, next post will let you know, what Alex and I have in store for the next couple months.

LUXURY PACKAGE

I wanted to post a couple photos from our last group at our Luxury apartment. This place is Soooooo Sweet! All the apartments have ocean views and easy beach access. One of the best waves in the country is right out front! I mean, its awesome! In addition they have a restaurant bar on site, infinity swimming pool, ping pong, and Golf. Not that I am a huge fan of golf, but still.
Lastly, my favorite is their massages for 20 bucks! This is a slice of heaven in Nicaragua!

SO if you have come to our La Flor surf camp and ready to class it up, check out our Luxury package!

Porter

Here is great pic from our last group of guys in August! They were an awesome group! Alex had a wonderful experience with them at freight trains, he told me that it was the best he has seen it all summer!

On a different note, I wanted this blog post to go out to our dog, Porter. Porter died a couple days ago from a lung infection that then spread to her blood. Porter was not even one year old and she was a great dog. I would take a walk with her every morning down to the estuary, and she would chase the flies on the beach the entire way. She would be so engaged by the flies that she would more often than not, knock me over and walk in between my legs. Haha. She started to feel sick about a month and a half ago, and despite our efforts of taking her to the vet in Leon and numberous shots she just didnt make it.

We all loved that sweet dog very much and it hurts my heart to think of the surf camp without her. So once again a tribute to Porter... We miss you.

August

Hello everyone,

The end of august is upon us. This means different things for everyone, end of their summer, starting a new job, the start of school. For us at Surf Tours Nicaragua, it means another month of our endless summer lives of surfing and eating. Thats all we have time to do, and with Zack (the kiwi) cooking and the waves pumping Life is Good!!! We have been booked solid the past couple months, but now some space is opening up!!

Now a little bit about the camp... Porter (the dog) was feeling a little under the weather but is now back to her old self chasing flies around the beach. Zani (the cat) has been recieving some trouble from a neighborhood feline, and is now without a doubt and MALE kitty.

Our best mate Stev-o- has left us for now. He has head back to Florida where he will finish university. He will be missed both in the water and out. One of our best employees yet!

The Kiwis continue to dazzle ever yone of our guests with good food (my favorite is the curry) and Kim's healing hands and energy.

Alex is still be amazed by Stev-o-'s air and 360 turns in knee high swells. He also is the backbone and heart of Surf Tours Nicaragua, making sure that everyones needs are met!

Kiwis

This past July was our first month owning Surf Tours Nicaragua and it was awesome! We had to make a couple changes to accommodate the masses of surfers who came and stayed at the camp. We bought another Toyota Land Cruiser to add to our collection. And we also hired a power couple, Zac and Kim, from New Zealand to help make sure that everyone was well taken care of.

Zac and Kim are a great team with tons of experience. They have managed surf camps around the world, and now they have graced Surf Tours Nicaragua with their presence. Zac is a phenomenal surfer and trained chef, we couldn’t have asked for a better combo. Kim, Zacs, wife is not only a wonderful hostess but also a trained a certified Vinayasa flow yoga instructor AND a masseuse! She kept the guys loose and limber throughout the weeks.

This past July was dedicated to Southern California! Every group we had was either from San Diego, Orange County or Los Angeles. Todd Peterson was lucky enough to have his dad and 15 of his closest friends at Surf Tours Nicaragua for his bachelor party! Between drinking us out of beer within the first 2 days and playing endless games of “flippy cup” they managed to surf their brains out and fish almost every day. Kudos to Todd and his buddies they were an awesome group!

Right now we have a group of 12 guys from Dana Point staying in our luxury condos surfing Hemmies everyday and living it up. Among them there are a couple body boarders, some of the best surfers Ive seen and a sponsored stand up paddle boarder.

Alex and I are soooo stoked on Surf Tours Nicaragua that we want to share our off shore wind bliss, by offering a 10% Discount through August and a even better deal of 20% off the last week of August!!

See you in the water!!

Surf, Sun, and Lots of Beer

This week our guests hail from..... You guessed it! California! We love those so cal surfers, they are always a pleasure to have as our guests. 17 guys came to Surf Tours Nicaragua to celebrate their buddy's upcoming wedding. A final send off to the single life by surfing, fishing and DRINKING! this guys were awesome! Surfing early every morning at freight trains and Salinas Grande and then partying hard every night. My favorite memory is when they left for a cultural tour of the spanish colonial town Leon and they returned with a little mermaid pinata! (They were such a fun group, they were the first to drink us out of our beer supply in Two days) I hope that they can make it back to Surf tours Nicaragua.
